In Person Studio Art Students: You will be following the assignment on the attached document. The theme for your pieces will be the visual dissection of a natural object. You will need three final sketches which will be used in the following printmaking processes: linoleum cuts, intaglio prints, and collagraph prints.
In Person/Virtual Photo Students: You will be following the theme of visual dissection of a natural object as well but not the processes that are described on the handout. You will need three final digital photos of the object you select which we will then be using in the printmaking processes. We will then be using the process of creating digital negatives in Photoshop to achieve the following printmaking processes: solar plates, cyanotypes, and lumi prints. (VDL Photo students will need to return all lent supplies such as proofing easels and must give me enough time to print out your digital negatives on transparency sheets)
Virtual Distance Learners: You will also be following the theme outlined in the attached document of visually dissecting a natural object. You will also need three final sketches which will be used for the following printmaking processes: linoleum blocks, kitchen intaglio prints, and collagraph prints. All supplies must be returned to the school after you have completed the project. If you do not want to do the "kitchen intaglio prints" you are more than welcome to come in to school during ELH to use the printing press.
